Cesare Pillon became a journalist for L’Unità at just 21 years of age. He has also written for Corriere della Sera and has worked as editor-in-chief for the weekly Il Mondo. For over 35 years he has written about food and wine for many leading magazines. He penned the main entries for Enciclopedia del Vino (Boroli editore) and co-authored Giacomo Tachis e la luce di Galileo, a book about Italy’s top oenologist.
Giuseppe Vaccarini is an oenologist and sommelier. He is an ASI World’s Best Sommelier award winner. In 2007 he founded Associazione della Sommellerie Professionale Italiana, an association he currently chairs. He has written Il Manuale della birra (2015) and coauthored Il Manuale del sommelier (2014) for Hoepli.
